Going Natural

Reiki – a Japanese word that means Universal Life Energy. Reiki teaches that when spiritual energy is sent by a Reiki practitioner to another person, that person is healed.

Traditional Chinese medicine – again, the concepts of qi and vital energy come into focus. Qi controls a person’s spiritual, emotional and physical balance and is influenced by yin and yang. Disease is said to result if qi is out of balance and yin and yang are disrupted. Traditional Chinese medicine integrates nutritional therapy, physical exercises, meditation, acupuncture, and remedial massage.

Ocular Migraine Treatment

The World Wide Web is a gold mine, when it comes to headache

/ migraine information, and many research and clinical studies are

available online and are updated regularly. At least once every month,

one will find new information related to health disorders such as

chronic headaches; it is comforting to know that organizations and

associations have been established specifically to offer assistance to

people in need of counseling or resources.

We’ll name a few in this chapter. When you visit any one of

these listed, you will get links to additional groups and organizations.

It’s like one door that opens a hundred other doors!

1. MAGNUM: Migraine Awareness Group: a National

Understanding for Migraineurs

MAGNUM is a non-profit health care public organization that was

established in 1993 and incorporated in 1994 for purposes of

education. It seeks to focus public and government attention to

migraines as a serious health disorder.

Headaches & Migraines

What is a Headache?
Wife: “Not tonight, dear, I have a headache.”
Husband: “You said that last week. C’mon…”
Wife: “It’s true. I had this headache last week. I have it
again.”
Husband: “You don’t love me anymore.”
Wife: “Sure I do, dear. But not tonight, okay?”
Husband “Don’t understand it. You better have your head
examined.”
The wife glares at her husband and turns away from him, a look
of disgust on her face.
Neither party was fibbing. The wife really had a headache, a
throbbing one, and the husband didn’t mean to be insensitive by
suggesting she have her head examined. He was genuinely concerned

and simply wanted her to see a doctor to see if there was something
wrong, and not insinuate that she was out of her mind.

Migraine Headache

MIGRAINES: TRIGGER FACTORS
There are many factors that can cause or trigger a migraine.
These triggers can be certain foods in our diet, internal triggers,
stress, or specific activities individuals engage in. While some people
have migraines as a result of one or several causes, for others all it
takes is one trigger. Migraine triggers therefore are different for each
person.
